Her earliest singing experience was at church, and she holds an honors degree in biomedical engineering.  Her deeply moving Remembrance Concert Tour (dedicated to victims of genocide) and Met Opera appearances (as Zerlina, Susanna, and Pamina among many other roles) attest to her dedication and artistry which endear her to audiences wherever she sings.
